About us
The legacy of Felopateer Palace (FP) spans to several generations and continents; having a story of innovation, artistic excellence, entrepreneurship, and dedication to the growth of the watches and jewelry industry. FP is a family owned company with a vast portfolio of Swiss watch brands. Due to the strategy and vision of the founder, Dr. Ehab Shenouda, FP has experienced a steady expansion since its initiation in the 1900’s.
Initially, Dr. Ehab Shenouda’s late father began by establishing a shopping mall in Upper Egypt in the early 1980’s that sold furniture, textiles, cars, and accessories. In the late 1980’s, Dr. Shenouda moved the company to Cairo, where the operations continued steadily. In the early 1990’s, FP started importing products from Europe and the Far East, laying the foundations of the watch business.
The first retail shop was opened in 1997, being located at 54 Dr. Ahmed Zaki Street, El Nozha El Gedida, Cairo. This remained FP’s headquarters up until the end of 2020.
After having opened the first retail store, Dr. Ehab Shenouda started to focus on high-end brands and in 1999, FP met with the deep-rooted Swiss family and signed it’s first agreements with Patek Philippe and Vacheron Constantin. The first high-end retail store was established in Cairo in the year 2000 exhibiting: Patek Philippe, Vacheron Constantin, and Cartier.
